ISSMGE

The International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) promotes the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the field of geotechnics and its engineering and environmental applications, through conferences, technical committees, and member societies.

ISSMGE has 75 National Member Societies worldwide representing 17,000 individual members which include practicing engineers, teachers, researchers, and equipment designers and manufacturers. The Society also has 20 corporate sponsors from industry. The Geo-Institute is proud to be the U.S. Member Society of ISSMGE.

ISSMGE Membership

ISSMGE membership is included as a benefit in the "Geo- Institute-only" membership dues.
(non-ASCE members). ASCE members may join ISSMGE for $15 (price reduction) by enrolling on their annual ASCE renewal form or by calling (800) 548-2723.

Paying ISSMGE Dues on Your ASCE Renewal

If you are currently an ISSMGE member, your dues are automatically listed on your ASCE renewal. If you are not an ISSMGE member, but would like to join, simply mark the ISSMGE New/Renew column with an "X" and write in the amount of $15 in the "Write-In" portion. Renewing online at www.asce.org/renewal should prevent any confusion associated with this process. Call ASCE's toll free help line at 800-548-2723 if you need assistance with your renewal.

Fully endorsed by the two major bodies in the field of geotechnical engineering, the Geo-Institute and the Canadian Geotechnical Society, GN provides an essential forum for the interchange of philosophies, technology and methodology related to the area of geotechnics.
