Geotechnical Special Publications (GSP)

Geotechnical Special Publications (GSPs) serve as the primary outlet of the Geo-Institute of ASCE (G-I) for the continued tradition of geotechnical knowledge transfer that originated with the proceedings of the first geotechnical specialty conference, held in 1960, on Shear Strength of Cohesive Soils. Geotechnical Practice Publications (GPP)

These publications offer the opportunity for sections/branches to publish proceedings to a larger audience with a shorter, less restrictive peer review process than that for Geotechnical Specialty Publications. We invite you to review the attached white paper on Geotechnical Practice Publications and to contact Carol Bowers, the G-I Director, at 703-295-6352 for additional information. Geo-Strata magazine: a free membership benefit

Geo-Strata, the official bi-monthly magazine of the Geo-Institute, features articles written by and for engineering professionals. Articles cover the use of new technologies, construction techniques, business management, unique projects, and industry news along with providing leadership on educational, professional and public policy issues. This magazine has been designed to showcase the role of the geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering professional and has consistently succeeded in doing that. Geo-Strata, a free membership benefit, is not available by subscription.

Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering

This monthly Journal surveys the field of soil mechanics and foundations, placing special emphasis on the relationship between the geologic environment and man-made works. Traditional topics, as well as newer areas and concerns, are featured, as contributors present practice-oriented papers, case histories, and theoretical papers that have a significant potential for practical application. Topics covered include soil dynamics; engineering behavior of soil and rock; slope stability; dams; rock engineering; environmental geotechnics; geosynthetics; and groundwater monitoring and restoration. Geo-Institute members receive a 33% discount on this publication.
