Congratulations to G-I member Clyde N. Baker, Jr., P.E., Hon.M.ASCE, NAE!  Mr. Baker is the recipient of the 2008 OPAL Lifetime Achievement Award in Design, and has been named one of the top 25 Newsmakers of 2007 by Engineering News-Record. The 2008 OPAL Awards Gala will be held April 30, 2008.

• G-I members Mike Duncan and Ross Boulanger have developed an educational web site, the " Geotechnical Engineering Photo Album," that serves as a supplement for available text books. A wide range of topics are illustrated using sequences of photos or diagrams. Faculty members can use the images to illustrate topics in courses. Students can use the web site to get a visual feel beyond what textbooks provide. Mike and Ross plan to continually update the site.
