Your 2008 Voluntary Contribution Makes a Difference

Although the G-I receives income from a variety of different sources — publication sales, conference revenue, continuing education courses, and a portion of your ASCE dues — when added together, G–I's income isn't sufficient to fund all of the programs and activities to further our Mission Statement goals. Your voluntary contribution is needed to meet those goals, plus:

    • Developing G–I's international strategy
    • Assisting Section & Branch Geotechnical groups with their local needs
    • Recruiting students into the geo-profession
    • Developing regional Short Courses
    • Spreading the message about our profession–who we are, what we do
    • Developing specific local, regional and national Project Awards.

All of the activities and programs of G-I are made possible by the dedication and hard work of hundreds of active members of G-I who volunteer their time in support of the profession. By making a voluntary contribution in addition to renewing your membership, you'll be telling your colleagues that you appreciate the work that they do on behalf of the profession.

You can renew your ASCE/G-I membership and contribute online, by mail, or by calling 800-548-ASCE (2723) or 703-295-6000.

Geo-Institute is an Investment in Your Profession

In the past, the Geo-Institute has been able to provide you with added services that address your specific needs at no additional membership cost to you. We now need your contribution in 2008, whatever you can give, to help advance your profession. The G-I Board of Governors has suggested an amount of $30. We thank all the persons who have generously contributed to help fund our programs and inititiatives. Last year, about 20% of G-I members made a voluntary contribution — this year, we're hoping to see an even higher percentage. Please make your investment today.
