Jorj O. Osterberg, Ph.D., P.E., Hon.M.ASCE
January 18, 1915 – May 31, 2008

Jorj O. Osterberg 1915-2008With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jorj. O. Osterberg on May 31. Dr. Osterberg is widely recognized as one of the early pioneers of geotechnical engineering.  He was honored as a Hero by the Geo-Institute at its Geo-Denver conference in 2007; received the Karl Terzaghi Award in 1993, and presented ASCE’s Karl Terzaghi Lecture in 1985.
